The element of intangible cultural heritage: “Ethnobotanical knowledge and practices in Crete” includes: i) practices of recognition, selection, picking, treatment, sustenance, preparation and consumption of the wild edible Cretan vegetation (grasses), which constitute a main element of the culinary cultural heritage of Crete, and ii) the social and customary characteristics that are linked to these practices.
The element was inscribed on the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2018.
